Tracing Our Path
The benefits of being a RiverTrace member.
Working with a neighborhood credit union like RiverTrace is like doing business with a long-time friend. Here are just a few of the many reasons why:
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we don't pay dividends to outside investors. Our profits are reinvested in the credit union and our members by way of lower rates on loans and higher yields on investments. We also eliminate virtually all of the fees big banks charge for services like having a checking account or using an ATM machine. Being charged to safeguard and access your own money? Really?
All loan decisions are made locally. And by local, we mean right in our branch on Staples Mill Road.
Since we're local, we really take the time to get to know you and understand what your needs are now and years from now. That also means that we'll go above and beyond "standard operating procedures" to get you a loan, provide you with expert advice or help you put together a strong financial plan.
As a member of RiverTrace, you're also an owner. Every member has an equal vote in how the credit union is managed, no matter how little or how much money you have on deposit.
Our board of directors is made up of unpaid volunteers (who are members of the credit union as well), so you know their focus is always on the financial wellbeing of the credit union and you.
We do go out of our way to get you on the right path. If you've had trouble getting loans in the past because of credit problems or lack of credit, we'll see what we can do for you. We just don’t believe that one-size-fits-all answers are the best way to help people.
Think about it. Why be treated like a number? Being part of RiverTrace is a far better option. Come Chart Your Path with us.
